Post Doctoral Researcher to pursue continued research experience and training within the Department of Neuroscience; conducts independent research under the guidance of his/her scientific mentor to investigate how interoception circuits affect animal behavior using the zebrafish model; independently designs new analytical approaches and tools; performs experiments; independently develops and troubleshoots new experimental techniques and protocols; collects and participates in analyzing data for reports for the purpose of grants submissions; participates in writing grant proposals; participates in writing of manuscripts and articles for publication and presentation; trains staff in techniques; collaborates and seeks expertise from other labs; attends and presents research at local, national, and international scientific conferences, workshops, and seminars; supervise Graduate and Undergraduate students in the laboratory. Experience and Qualifications Required and/or Desired PhD or equivalent degree required; Significant experience in behavior testing and bioinformatic data analysis is preferred. Requires successful completion of a background check. Selected candidate may be requested to complete a pre-employment physical including a drug screen. |
