*Description*
Under the supervision of the Member Services Supervisor and the direction of the Member Services Manager, the Member Services Representative will perform new member welcome calls and respond to inquiries from members and providers regarding Plan benefits, Plan policies, Member Portal, claims issues and facilitate appropriate resolutions. The incumbent will have daily and extensive contact with members and service providers to resolve complex issues, interpret policies/procedures, explain benefits, respond to requests for service, survey members and solve problems. * Open all incoming mail and distribute to appropriate person according to departmental policy. Date stamps each piece of mail with current date. * Handle department returned mail and maintained the returned mail file. Correct addresses and re-mail as necessary. * Answer incoming calls and document interactions with callers in CRM * Make outgoing calls and document interactions with callers in CRM. * Composes simple letters, memos, confidential reports, and completes standard forms from information received in handwritten or typed form, generally without being given specific oral or written instructions. * Maintains departmental inventory. * Creates manual and electronic files; searches for files; retrieves information from files; monitors use of confidential and miscellaneous files and their contents; purges files and/or information from files; closes files. * Operates a variety of office machines such as, copier, facsimile, and multiple line telephone systems. * Retrieve copies of documents from files or scanned documents as requested by staff and other departments. * Keep record in files of all documents that are pulled. * Scan documents as needed. * Answer phones and screen calls. * Assists management staff and other departments in completing special projects, as assigned. *Skills* HMO, Health Management Organizations, Call center, Customer Service, health care, insurance benefits, bilingual, data entry *Additional Skills & Qualifications* High school Diploma Two (2) years' office clerical experience preferably in the managed care and /or health insurance industry. Typing skill of 30 WPM required. 70%+ passing score on skills test *Pay and Benefits* The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
