JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS The Penn State College of Medicine, Department of Pulmonary Medicine, in Hershey, PA, is seeking a Part Time Research Assistant. This position will be focused on projects related to health and the environment with a focus on artificial intelligence and virtual reality technologies to address evaluating current practices and training in the use of Safer Choice cleaning products. This position will facilitate data collection from cleaning professionals across the spectrum from manufacturers and distributors, cleaning service providers, to facilities who use cleaning services. Part of the responsibilities include community engagement with individuals and entities to develop training methods and programs appropriate for that community. This individual will also utilize civil engineering methods to characterize the infrastructure of a local school district as part of a health and environment educational module. This position will assure the collection of data based on protocol, serve as liaison with Principal Investigator and other team members, attend weekly Safer Choice team meetings, develop and organize research materials, reports, and scientific publications. The successful candidate should have strong written and oral communication skills. Also desirable would be a background in science and community engagement.
