Job Description
The Inventory Supervisor manages the warehouse associates and is responsible for overseeing daily operations. This position will report to the Inventory Manager.
Job Duties:


  • Oversee the daily operation activities of the Warehouse Associates team and people management responsibilities including training, planning, and assigning daily work, performance management, and conflict resolution.
  • Accomplish department objectives by supervising staff, organizing, and monitoring work processes, and maintaining physical inventory and accuracy.
  • Implement and enforce systems, policies, and procedures.
  • Oversee all shipping and receiving activities to ensure accuracy, completeness, and condition of shipments.
  • Coordinate communication between the internal departments as required to ensure efficient and timely receiving.
  • Ensure warehouse is clean, organized, secure and safe
  • Establish and maintain good rapport with internal and external customers through effective communication both written and oral.
  • Alert Inventory Manager to any irregularities in the product inventory or processes
  • Provide direction, assign responsibilities, and motivate the team to achieve department goals.
  • Supervises personnel including setting expectations for behavior and collaborating with the Inventory Manager to resolve personnel issues.
  • Performs duties of a warehouse associate if a need arises.
  • Reviews and corrects timesheets for accurate submission to payroll for bi-weekly pay cycle.
  • Identify and address safety hazards and coach personnel in safety initiatives.
  • Motivate, delegate, and hold direct reports accountable to daily, weekly, and monthly production objectives.
  • Operate a forklift in a safe and proficient manner
  • Proficient in barcode guns to assist on the floor when needed
  • Assist Inventory Manager in cycle counts and inventory management
  • Communicate with Production team to determine production materials that will be needed for upcoming production requirements.
  • Ensure all products are staged to ship per the shipping schedule.
  • Adhere to all safety requirements
  • Complete other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:


  • High school diploma or GED
  • Forklift certified with minimum of 1 year forklift experience
  • Minimum of 1 year warehouse or manufacturing experience
  • 1-2 years' experience in managerial or leadership position.
  • Ability to use basic math skills
  • Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience with Warehouse Management System (WMS)
  • Results-driven with a keen ability to make sound decisions.
  • 2+ years of reach truck forklift experience
  • 2+ years of warehouse or manufacturing experience
  • Knowledge of Oracle and/or Netsuite
  • Previous Inventory management experience
