* Downtown Milwaukee *Schedule: * * Hybrid. 3 days on-site, 2 days remote (can choose what days you want) *Description* Support accurate and timely preparation of financial reports and disclosures in compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements. Collaborate cross functionally to provide actionable financial reporting and strategic insights to key stakeholders. * Assist in the preparation of the Company's 10-Q and 10-K financial statements and disclosures in accordance with GAAP, and the quarterly/annual financial statements of the Company's subsidiaries on a Statutory basis. * Assist with the preparation of the Company's quarterly earnings release and supplemental information. * Assist in maintaining accurate records of financial transactions, including journal entries, ledgers, and reconciliations. * Assist with the financial statement disclosures for new and enhanced accounting policies, including the documentation and implementation of technical accounting matters. * Assists in the preparation of financial analysis for the executive management team and the Board of Directors, including the creation of presentations for the Board of Directors or stakeholders. * Assist with preparing and issuing accounting policies and procedures documentation and managing aspects of SOX/MAR compliance. * Works with external financial auditors on reviewing financial statements and reporting information, the interpretation of information that is to be disclosed. * Acts as Finance liaison with government agencies for both routine and special requests. Prepares numerous forms, documents, and reports to be filed with individual states, rating agencies, the SEC, or other government agencies. * Provides subject matter expertise within the team and acts as department liaison for other Finance areas. * Nature of work requires additional hours at the end of reporting cycles, i.e., quarterly and annually. *Additional Skills & Qualifications* * Minimum of three (3) to (5) years of public accounting and/or financial reporting experience * Project management principles and practices with the ability to perform multiple tasks and meet critical deadlines while maintaining accuracy and quality * Think and act strategically * Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication, and organizational skills * State insurance regulations, rating agency requirements, and SEC regulations * MS Office (EXCEL, Word, PowerPoint) Preferred qualifications: * Public accounting experience, public company, or insurance company experience related to financial reporting and financial analysis * Technical accounting research * Insurance and reinsurance accounting, Statutory and GAAP accounting principles * ERP system experience (Workday, Oracle, SAP, etc.) *Pay and Benefits* The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $140000.00/yr.
