Education and Recreation Technician

Overview:

The Education and Recreation Advisor position at the Short-term Residential Treatment Facility assists the clinical and nursing staff by providing clinical and recreational support to adults who are receiving mental health, substance abuse, or co-occurring services in an inpatient setting. This position is also responsible for planning and organizing engaging activities and psychoeducational groups from conceptualization to the actual execution, including the location, resources, participants, and any limitations.

Role Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• At least one (1) year of experience working directly with seriously mentally ill adults or completed one year (24 hours) of college classes.
• Must be able to provide individualized, integrated mental health, substance abuse, and co-occurring services to meet the needs of individuals served and their families, as required.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be able to pass organization screening requirements, including state or federal background screenings as appropriate.
• Must possess a valid driver's license from the state in which you reside, a good driving record, and be insurable under the corporate policy.

Compensation:

Base pay ranges from $15.00 - $16.12 an hour based on experience.
