This role is part of Alcon's Sales & Sales Support function, a team that helps provide access to products across all channels in an effort to drive customer satisfaction with eye care professionals to help people see brilliantly.

The Cataract Refractive Manager is primarily responsible for achieving sales targets by selling surgical ophthalmic products in the assigned territory. You will build strong professional relationships with customers, address their needs promptly, and ensure high customer satisfaction through product demonstrations and support. Specifics include:

* Achieve sales targets for specific accounts or territories by promoting and selling Alcon products through various sales activities
* Develop relationships with key opinion leaders and high-volume users while discovering and developing new business opportunities
* Implement a sales plan and strategy, visiting customers frequently to provide necessary support
* Conduct events and meetings to update customers on products, services, and prices, and create and maintain a customer database
* Conduct competitive market analysis to maintain Alcon's product market share and react to competition by assessing the market
* Provide timely reports and ensure accurate and timely documentation of sales activities and customer interactions according to company needs

The Cataract Refractive Manager promotes, grows, and supports Alcon's cataract refractive products that include advanced technology lens implants, patient pay, and non-covered services, diagnostic equipment and surgical equipment in both Clinic and OR settings. Develop and maintain relationships with Ophthalmologists, tech specialists, administrators, Optometrists, and others involved in purchasing Alcon's product portfolio.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Utilize marketing tools and resources to establish a concentrated plan for growth in patient-pay segments and practice development
  • Ability to plan and successfully complete equipment demo presentations with targeted clinics, surgeons, and staff
  • Display strong business acumen skills with Alcon discount programs when converting new or growing existing revenue
  • Perform educational presentations with small/large clinics and organizations to discuss improving patient outcomes with advanced technologies
  • Work synergistically with all other Alcon sales personnel in efforts to strengthen Alcon portfolio
  • Demonstrate an independent and consultative value based sales approach to selling advanced technology lens implants, Clinic/OR related equipment, and patient education programs
Key Requirements/Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school +10 yrs; Assoc.+6 yrs; M.S.)
  • The ability to fluently read, write, understand and communicate in English
  • 2 Years of Validated Experience
Travel Requirements: 25% Territory: South Pittsburgh, PA and Morgantown, WV. Alcon Careers
