As an Assembler at Coperion in Kansas City, Missouri, you will be responsible for accurately assembling, inspecting, and preparing high-quality mechanical products for shipment. Your role supports efficient workflow, quality standards, and safety compliance, ensuring our customers receive reliable and precise equipment.

Shift/Schedule:

  • Monday through Thursday, 5:00 am to 3:30 pm.

  • Work Location: 4346 Clary Blvd. Kansas City, MO 64130

What You'll Do:

  • Assemble, align, adjust, and fit mechanical equipment according to engineering drawings and specifications.

  • Inspect and test valves and other components to ensure compliance with quality standards prior to shipment.

  • Work with close tolerances and fits to meet engineering and operational requirements.

  • Collaborate with supervisors and planning teams to ensure timely completion of assembly projects and maintain proper inventory levels.

  • Train new employees on safe and efficient assembly methods, adhering to safety and PPE protocols.

Team:

  • You will be part of Coperion's manufacturing team in Kansas City, working alongside skilled assemblers, technicians, and supervisors. Your contributions will help ensure the timely delivery of high-quality equipment, supporting our commitment to operational excellence and customer satisfaction.

Basic Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required.

  • 1-2 years of experience in a manufacturing or assembly environment.

  • Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.

  • Proficiency with basic hand and power tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, taps, and gauges.

  • Mechanically inclined with good attention to detail.

  • Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs., and comfortable with bending and kneeling.

  • Knowledge of inspection techniques and safety regulations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with valves or similar mechanical components.

  • Familiarity with testing procedures and quality assurance practices.

  • Prior experience training or supervising new employees.

  • Knowledge of inventory management practices.
