As a Technical Lead - Software Engineering, you will help develop large-scale distributed farm credit applications to meet our client's critical and complex mission need. You will work alongside a multi-disciplinary Agile development team well-versed in modern software development, utilizing cloud-based technologies, and streamlining deployments via DevSecOps to support our growing user-base in operations.

Essential Duties



  • Develop, implement, and support software programs and applications into the organization's business systems
  • Execute technical specifications for new and/or enhanced processes.
  • Ensure projects meet business requirements and goals and fulfills end-user requirements
  • Mentor of other developers
  • Collaborate with scrum team leads
  • Contribute to design decisions as required
  • Develop unit tests for code and maintain desired code coverage percentage
  • Test software programs and applications and address issues in program logic
  • Test the interoperability of new applications with existing systems software

  • Skilled in building collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders, operations teams, security professionals, and external vendors
  • Commitment to maintaining the confidentiality, security, and integrity of organizational and client systems and data


Technical Skills



  • Proficient in .NET (version 6 or later), C#, JavaScript, MS SQL, and NoSQL databases
  • Hands-on experience with JavaScript frameworks or libraries such as React, Angular, or Vue
  • Experience in cloud development, preferably using Microsoft Azure
  • Familiarity with messaging systems such as Service Bus or Pub/Sub architectures
  • Strong understanding of secure coding practices and adherence to industry standards
  • Knowledge of business applications and software development best practices


Education/Certifications

Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or similar work experience in a computer related field preferred

Experience



  • Minimum of 7 years of experience


Leadership



  • High level of emotional maturity that can react appropriately in difficult situations
  • Ability to understand your audience and impact or influence a diverse population
  • Excellent communications skills to convey information accurately and at detailed level to provide clarity to management, team members, or customers on topic
  • Interpersonal skills to resolve conflicts among team members
  • Escalate concerns/risks to leadership in a timely and action-oriented manner.
