- Ensure the quality and reliability of PIC products from prototype through production.
- Analyze electrical and optical test data and correlate with device physics, fabrication processes, and reliability data to troubleshoot production-line issues and disposition materials.
- Manage and track components for shipments, qualifications, and reliability assessments.
- Support next-generation PIC platform development, with a focus on yield, cost, reliability, and performance during technology transfer and production ramp-up.
- Lead or contribute to yield improvement and process optimization initiatives using data-driven approaches.
- Maintain accurate documentation of engineering changes, production updates, and processes.
- MS or PhD in Photonics, Electrical Engineering, Applied Physics or a related discipline.
- Industry experience is a plus but not required; strong academic or research background in relevant areas is highly valued.
- Solid understanding of semiconductor device physics, photonics, and semiconductor processing.
- Familiarity with III-V process technologies and optoelectronic device characterization is beneficial.
- Hands-on experience with semiconductor and photonic testing, metrology, or related tools.
- Knowledge of failure analysis techniques and common failure modes in III-V semiconductor components is an asset.
- Exposure to statistical data analysis and Design of Experiments (DOE) methodologies.
- Solid coding and data analysis skills using tools such as Python, MATLAB, JMP, or similar. Familiarity with SQL or database systems is a plus but not required.
- Experience with product development, quality assurance, or NPI is a plus.
- Experience with SPC, Design for Manufacturing (DfM), and six-sigma principles for continuous improvement is also a plus.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
