THE POSITION

The Department of Human Services is seeking a Fiscal Management Specialist 2 to join our team of professionals. In this vital role, you will provide rate and budget support for our Physical Health HealthChoices program. DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this position, you will perform analytical responsibilities which require a considerable degree of initiative and judgment involving rate development, reporting, budget development, data analysis, and rate payment. You will ensure that the rates paid to our contractors reflect negotiated terms, are adequately budgeted, and are paid timely and accurately. Duties include developing rate appendices showing contracted capitation rates and other payment provisions. Additionally, you will aid in preparing budget requests for project expenditure related to these contracted terms. You will also develop work plans, have input into methodologies to use, and prioritize assignments independently.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week
  • Work hours are 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.
  • Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, with a minimum of two days per week in the office. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • One year as a Fiscal Management Specialist 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
  • One year of experience in professional fiscal administration, and a bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting, finance, economics, or a related field; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.
