Technical Writer - Salesforce Flow Content Experience

Join our team at Salesforce Flow Content Experience, where we're looking for an early-career technical writer. At Salesforce, technical writers play a crucial role in creating documentation and content experiences that empower customers to maximize their use of our products. Working in an Agile environment, you'll collaborate closely with writers, product managers, engineers, and the User Experience (UX) team to deliver in-app assistance, guides, interactive training on Trailhead, and videos tailored for administrators, users, and developers. We're dedicated to innovating content strategies that ensure the right information reaches our users exactly when they need it.

About You:

Our ideal candidate is passionate about enabling customers to achieve their business goals through Salesforce products. You excel independently while valuing collaboration with team members and stakeholders. Technology excites you, and you're eager to leverage AI to enhance content quality and efficiency.

This is a hybrid role requiring a minimum of 10 visits per quarter to our San Francisco, CA, Seattle, WA, or Bellevue, WA offices to support customers and collaborate with the team.

Required Experience/Skills:

  • 1-3 years of professional writing or communications experience

  • 1-3 years of experience in a technology or software company

  • Ability to craft clear, concise, and user-friendly content, adjusting tone and style based on the audience

  • Quick comprehension of complex technologies and the ability to explain them effectively

  • Curiosity and a knack for improving existing processes

  • High standards of quality with meticulous attention to detail

  • Strong problem-solving skills and a customer-centric mindset

  • Proficiency in developing content plans for products

  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative environment, managing multiple tasks under tight deadlines

  • Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented approach

  • Bachelor's degree in technical writing, communications, or a related field, or equivalent experience

Desired Experience/Skills:

  • Familiarity with source control software like Perforce or Git

  • Experience with XML-based authoring tools such as Oxygen

  • Knowledge of API documentation best practices

  • Familiarity with DITA and structured authoring methodologies

  • Experience in Agile development environments

  • Background in customer service or working with customer service applications

  • Exposure to AI technologies
