Work Location:
This position will require in-office presence (COVID permitting) at our 283-299 Market Street headquarters in Newark, NJ. Please do not apply if seeking a fully remote position.
Position Overview:
As a Sr. Technical Project Manager - Data Projects, you will be responsible for leading high-impact, cross-functional initiatives centered around data platforms, analytics, and reporting. You will work closely with the Data Services - Engineering, Business, and Product teams to ensure the timely and efficient execution of complex data-centric projects.
This role emphasizes a deep understanding of data systems, governance, transformation pipelines, and stakeholder alignment to support enterprise-wide goals in data engineering and operations.
Key Responsibilities:

Own the intake and prioritization process for incoming data-related requests across Data Engineering and partner functions. -
Drive quarterly roadmap planning for data projects including ingestion pipelines, warehouse architecture, and analytics platform initiatives. -
Manage end-to-end project execution: from requirements gathering and backlog grooming to implementation, validation, and production deployment. -
Collaborate with data architects and analysts to define scope and translate business needs into technical requirements. -
Track agile progress through tools such as JIRA, Confluence, or YouTrack; and project management tools to ensure proper documentation and visibility for all data deliverables. -
Proactively manage risks, interdependencies, and blockers, and lead cross-team alignment for resolution. -
Partner with QA, DevOps, and business stakeholders to ensure appropriate levels of testing and validation. -
Lead Scrum ceremonies for assigned data teams, and ensure adherence to agile best practices, including story point estimation and sprint retrospectives. -
Support data governance and compliance initiatives by ensuring accurate metadata, lineage tracking, and documentation practices. -
Develop project dashboards and metrics to communicate status, risks, and ROI to leadership. -
Champion process improvement efforts across the data function to drive delivery efficiency and data quality.
Required Skills & Qualifications:

5+ years of project management experience in a technical or enterprise data environment. -
3+ years of experience managing data-related projects (e.g., data pipelines, data warehousing, analytics platforms, reporting automation). -
Understanding of data technologies (e.g., SQL, PostgreSQL, BigQuery, Snowflake, ETL/ELT tools, data lakes). -
Experience working with agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban) and managing agile teams. -
Familiarity with data governance, compliance, and security standards. -
Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and stakeholders across technical and business domains. -
Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and cross-functional facilitation skills. -
Proficiency in project management tools like JIRA, Confluence, YouTrack, Airtable, or similar tools. -
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field-or equivalent experience.
Preferred Experience:

Experience managing enterprise-level data migrations, data integrations, or cloud data modernization initiatives. -
Experience with Airtable. -
PMP, CSM, or other project management certifications. -
Exposure to working with Marketing analytics platforms or Healthcare.
Compensation range: $130,000 - $140,000 per year
Bonus Eligible:
This position is also eligible for a discretionary company bonus, based upon business results.
