Temple University's Service Operations Department is searching for a CDL Driver for the Evening FLIGHT shuttle service!

This union position pays a starting rate of $23.45/hr. (40 hour work week). Hourly rate increases to $26.97/hr. after 1 year.

Work shift: Required to work weekends and days during the week. / Work Hours: 5:30PM to 2:30AM

Position Summary
Reporting to the Assistant Facilities Manager, drivers provide University students and faculty with transportation services. The Operations and Logistics Unit oversee the service area assigned to drivers. Once given a transportation route, drivers are responsible for arriving at their assigned destinations on time. Those destinations include Ambler and the surrounding campuses. In addition, drivers must consistently provide timely, safe, professional, and courteous services.

Performs other related duties as assigned.

This position does require an on-road driving assessment.
This position requires a drivers license background check.

Required Education and Experience
*A minimum of three (3) or more years of commercial driving experience.
*A valid commercial (CDL) driver's license along with a "P" endorsement for commercial bus driving and class (B) with air brake and passenger endorsements REQUIRED.
*Must have the ability to drive manual stick shift vehicles and 50-passenger buses.

Required Skills and Abilities
*Must have adequate reading and writing skills
*Must be able to Start, stop, operate various commercial passenger vehicles in a safe, timely, and efficient manner
*Must be able to complete routine vehicle safety inspections as required by University standard operating procedures and/or state, federal, city and local guidelines
*Must Possess excellent interpersonal skills
*Must be able to pass a driving test administered by the department
*Must be able to pass a lifting test administered by the department
