Job Description: The Senior IAM Engineer at Northwestern Mutual Life Insurance Company in Milwaukee, WI will enhance Privilege Access Management (PAM) tools to effectively manage and secure access to credentials and secrets. Analyze high-level requirements provided, determine optimal solutions, test, and evaluate solutions, and engineer from conceptualization to production using primary PAM tools including CyberArk and HashiCorp Vault. Utilize Directory Services (SSO/Federation, Active Directory, Azure, AWS), Identity Governance and Administration (Sailpoint IIQ, Access Certifications), Privileged Access, Client Identity and Access Management. Ensure tooling is secure and reliable through regular patching, maintenance, and system reviews. Apply knowledge of traditional on-premises, virtual, and bare-metal operating systems, including Unix and Windows, as well as cloud-based implementations, to support PAM processes. Assist internal customer base in adopting and using capabilities effectively, ensuring seamless integration and usability. Utilize Python, JavaScript, Java, and PowerShell. Contribute to creation and refinement of engineering best practices within PAM domain. Oversee design, implementation, and management of PAM systems, completing complex configurations and tasks. Contribute to architectural design of PAM solutions, focusing on scalability, security, and usability requirements. Lead collaborations with third-party vendors and partners to evaluate and enhance PAM tools and supporting services. Participate in strategy discussions to align with and achieve milestones and objectives. Telecommuting permitted. Salary $132,725- $208,520 per year. Minimum Requirements: Master's degree in Computer Science or related field plus 3 years (or a bachelor's degree plus 5 years) of experience as an IAM engineer or in a related occupation. Experience must include 3 years with each of the following: (1) Directory Services (SSO/Federation, Active Directory, Azure, AWS), Identity Governance and Administration (Sailpoint IIQ, Access Certifications), Privileged Access, Client Identity and Access Management; (2) analyzing, designing, developing, deploying, and supporting software solutions and infrastructure implementations and upgrades; (3) designing, implementing, supporting, and maintaining PAM solutions within an enterprise environment; (4) designing and implementing IAM solutions including integration with various systems and platforms, including Windows and Unix endpoints, Cloud Service Providers, and SaaS systems; (5) Python, JavaScript, Java, and PowerShell; and (6) reviewing, providing feedback on, and improving security practices, including security configurations of customer systems.
