Established in 1990, the Ivan Allen College of Liberal Arts is a pioneer of liberal arts education and research at the nexus of the technical and human sciences. The Ivan Allen College of Liberal Arts is composed of Georgia Tech's ROTC units and six schools: Economics; History and Sociology; Literature, Media, and Communication; Modern Languages; Public Policy; and the Sam Nunn School of International Affairs.

Job Summary

Build brand identification and the reputation of Georgia Tech by planning, implementing, and monitoring social media communications. Stimulate and facilitate discussions on behalf of Institute official social media platforms and maintain regular engagement with key target demographics. This position will interact on a consistent basis with: Staff, coaches, and students. This position typically will advise and counsel: N/A. This position will supervise: N/A.

Responsibilities

Job Duty 1 -
Write original posts and create original content including video and graphics that optimizes engagement objectives

Job Duty 2 -
Oversee work of student assistants, edit their writing, video, and other content, determine appropriateness and post to appropriate media platforms

Job Duty 3 -
Monitor social conversations and comments on all platforms, responding as appropriate

Job Duty 4 -
Evaluate the impact and engagement of target audiences and assist in determining the creation of future content

Job Duty 5 -
Track and analyze social media influence measurements and audience examination

Job Duty 6 -
Perform other related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

Educational Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations or equivalent combination of education and experience

Other Required Qualifications
This jobs requires exposure to higher than average noise levels, handling objects up to 100 pounds and standing/walking for extended periods of time.

Required Experience
Two to three years of job related experience

Prior customer service experience

Experience shooting video and photography for social
Experience editing video for social media
Experience with paid social

Proposed Salary

The salary range for this position is $64,935 - $74,841.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

SKILLS
Proficiency in handling customer relations issues and engaging with a variety of different people and situations; knowledge of social medial platforms, management tools and analytics, video editing and production, graphic design, and strong writing skills
