Salary:$29.00-$38.00 Per Hour
Schedule:5 8-hour Shifts: Days, Evenings, and weekend shift available.

Focus:The Yard/Hosler Driver is responsible for safely operating a diesel-powered yard tractor to move and position trailers within the facility, supporting shipping and receiving activities while maintaining strict adherence to safety and operational standards.

Yard/Hosler Driver Essential Job Functions:

  • Perform pre- and post-operation inspections on yard tractors, reporting any defects and coordinating repairs.

  • Attach and detach trailers safely, moving them to and from dock doors and staging areas with proper use of dock locks and wheel chocks.

  • Assist warehouse personnel with loading/unloading as needed and perform daily yard safety checks.

  • Maintain compliance with company safety rules and report any suspicious activity or security concerns.

  • Inspect trailers and containers for cleanliness and defects before use.

Yard/Hosler Driver Minimum Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Minimum of 2 years professional CDL driving experience.

  • CDL Class A endorsement and valid DOT Medical Card required.

  • Strong skills in backing and hooking yard tractors to trailers safely.

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in varying environmental conditions.

  • Previous logistics/warehouse experience at Lake City Army Ammunition Plant preferred.

  • Must possess a valid US driver's license.

Location-Specific Requirements:

  • This position requires successful vetting as an Employee Possessor in accordance with U.S. Department of Justice and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.

  • This position requires access to ITAR controlled technical data, and as such, employment will be contingent upon the candidate's ability to access ITAR controlled technical data pursuant to an export license approved by the Directorate of Defense Trade Controls, if required.

  • This position requires successful vetting for unescorted access in accordance with U.S. Army and Department of Defense access policies. To meet the government-facility requirements, the candidate must be a US citizen.
