The City of Corona is exited to announce we are looking for a Facilities Manager to lead the maintenance, operation, and enhancement of our City's public buildings and spaces. As the Facilities Manager, you'll spearhead initiatives that improve city infrastructure, oversee critical building systems, manage budgets and vendor contracts, and guide a skilled team of professionals dedicated to excellence. You'll ensure our facilities stay safe, sustainable, and service-ready. Knowledge & Education
- Methods, materials, equipment, practices, and standards used in the operation, maintenance, repair, construction, and alteration of municipal buildings and structures.
- Operation and maintenance requirements of heating, plumbing, air conditioning, electrical, and refrigeration systems.
- Applicable federal, state, and local laws, regulatory codes, ordinances, and procedures relevant to assigned areas of responsibility.
- Administrative principles and practices, including goal setting, program development, implementation, evaluation, and project management.
- Cal/OSHA regulations and safe work practices; workers' compensation policies and regulations.
Education:
- Equivalent to a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in construction management, engineering, public administration, or a related field.

- Provide strong leadership in managing diverse teams, providing guidance, fostering professional development, and evaluating performance.
- Select and supervise staff, provide training and development opportunities, ensure work is performed effectively, and evaluate performance in an objective and positive manner.
- Research, analyze, and evaluate new service delivery methods or improvements in operations, procedures, policies, and techniques.
- Coordinate multiple complex projects and meet critical deadlines.
- Prepares, reviews, and provides recommendations on the planning, design, construction and maintenance of municipal buildings and structures including, capital development, staffing requirements, and other technical and management issues; determines the time, equipment, material, and personnel requirements for major projects.
- Meets with other departments and agencies to coordinate, plan, and implement various City maintenance and Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) projects and programs. Coordinates, oversees, and inspects repair, alteration, and maintenance activities of municipal buildings and structures projects between City, contractors, and consultants; advises and updates management on activities.
Experience & Licenses
Experience:
Six (6) years of increasingly responsible experience in the construction, maintenance, or project management of large office or commercial buildings, including three (3) years of management or supervisory experience.
Licenses and Certifications:
- Possession of a valid California Class C driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
- Certification in facilities management or construction management preferred.
This position is FLSA Exempt - ineligible for overtime compensation.

The selection process will consist of a review and evaluation of all applicants' qualifications. Those applicants deemed to possess the most desirable qualifications will be invited to participate in a possible virtual HireVue and oral interview. The top scoring candidates from the oral interview will be placed on an eligibility list from which the department may hire. The eligibility list established from this recruitment may also be used to fill the current and/or additional vacancies throughout the City.
The successful candidate will be required to undergo a reference / background check including livescan and pass a pre-employment medical examination (which will include a drug/alcohol screening).

THE ORGANIZATION
The City of Corona is a General Law city operating under a Council-Manager form of government. Policy making and legislative authority is vested in the City Council, consisting of a Mayor and four Council Members. Members of the City Council are elected by District to a four-year term. The Mayor is selected by the Council and serves as the presiding officer for one year.
The City is organized into the following departments/organizational units: Community Services, City Manager's Office, Economic Development, Finance, Fire, Human Resources, Information Technology, Legal and Risk Management, Police, Planning & Development, Public Works, and Utilities. Oversight of these departments is divided between the City Manager and an Assistant City Manager.
The City's total operating budget for Fiscal Year 2026 is $422.7 million with a General Fund operating budget of $231.3 million. Corona enjoys a workforce of 935 dedicated employees who provide high-quality services to its residents and visitors each day.
