Senior Internal Wholesaler (Advisory VUL/Non-Core Advisory VA/BGA) Job Description:
This wholesaler works within the sales organization, partnering with the VP National Sales Director for Advisory Sales. This individual is responsible for creating new and managing existing relationships with representatives to increase revenue of Protective products and achieve territory sales goals. This role is primarily focused on servicing representatives through phone and email communication. This position requires an individual that has a strong sales-focused approach with professional communication skills, hard work ethic, and a competitive drive to succeed.
Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities:
*Serve as a subject matter expert in advisory services and Brokerage General Agency (BGA) operations to provide strategic guidance and support.
*Make proactive sales calls daily with new and existing firms to strengthen relationships and find selling opportunities including sales campaigns, new business opportunities, follow-up meeting calls, and other calls as directed by management.
*Respond to and manage inbound calls from current and prospective customers, providing accurate information and directing inquiries to the appropriate departments as needed.
*Produce customized product illustrations to support tailored client solutions and sales strategies.
*Develop a clear understanding of the partner's structure and identify key contacts for collaboration.
*Support and develop strategic marketing initiatives to enhance brand visibility and drive engagement.
*Attend advisory meetings/conferences and execute meeting/conference follow up.
*Assist with setting up new selling agreements.
*Provide product education to representatives as an expert on our product features and benefits, answering questions and comparing our products to that of our competition.
*Create sales opportunities and execute thoughtful follow-up to move these through the sales pipeline.
*Work closely with the National Sales Director to develop and execute a strategic business plan to maximize channel sales growth.
*Utilize Protective databases to create and maintain representative profile information on all sales activity.
*Execute campaigns using Protective systems to generate channel sales leads and meaningful follow-up.
*Document customer interactions and maintain detailed records in the CRM system.
*Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.
Job Requirements (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities):
*Prior insurance or investment sales experience recommended.
*Must be adaptable and highly flexible to meet the needs of Sales Director and insurance industry.
*Must have the ability to work in a challenging and collaborative environment.
*Competitive spirit and personal drive to succeed.
*Possess professional oral and written communication skills.
*Possess strong customer service skills.
*Proven attention to detail and ability to multi-task in fast-paced environment.
*Must be a detail-oriented, well-organized self-starter with high energy and creativity.
Education & Experience Required:
*Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent work experience.
*Advisory and BGA experience preferred.
Certifications, Licenses, Registrations Required:
*Series 6, Series 63, and Life license.

Protective's targeted compensation for this position is $50k-$62k. Actual salaries may vary depending on factors, including but not limited to, job location, skills, and experience. The range listed is just one component of Protective's total compensation package for employees.
This position also includes cash compensation as a part of a sales incentive plan (SIP).
