Position Summary

Academic Technologies is seeking responsible,
self-motivated students that demonstrate leadership, aptitude, and initiative
to provide assistance and training on a wide variety of technology in
classrooms across campus to students, faculty, and staff. Successful candidates
will demonstrate excellent customer service skills and an interest in
technology support, customer service, and teaching. This position provides
support for walk in requests, over the phone requests, and requests from
within the UNM Service Now system.

Must possess the ability to work independently, organize
time efficiently, and communicate professionally with faculty, staff, and
students. Applicants should be able to take the initiative to solve problems on
their own as well as request help as needed. Applicants may be asked to
participate in projects, which may include technology testing, maintenance,
or deployment of new classroom environments.

Duties and
responsibilities include:

Provides technical support and training
for technology in classrooms and computer pods.
Routine maintenance and testing of
classroom technology.
Provide immediate response
to requests from both walk ins and phone calls.
Troubleshooting software and hardware
issues including resolving and triaging issues in the help system.
Proficient in basic clerical skills and
willing to use work time to learn and expand one's knowledge.
May be expected to perform
administrative tasks.


Minimum Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

Enrolled in a degree seeking program at UNM, at
least half-time (6 hours) at UNM for fall and spring semesters.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience
in customer service.
Ability
to work in a team environment.
Experience
instructing customers and working with faculty.
Experience
supporting and troubleshooting computers or AV systems.
Experience working in an IT ticketing system.
