Currently, Alliant is recruiting a part-time, 20 hours per week, Research Analyst to support strategic market analysis efforts focused on U.S. public health care programs, including Medicare, Medicaid, and related Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) and state government initiatives. The role involves understanding organizational goals, analyzing trends, evaluating policy impacts, and supporting business development in the federal and state health care space. The analyst uses their knowledge of health care programs and government policies to perform market analysis and inform strategic initiatives. In this role, the ideal candidate will:
- Conduct research and analysis on federal and state health care programs, focusing on Medicare, Medicaid, Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP), and CMS innovation models.
- Monitor and assess legislative and regulatory developments affecting public health care markets and government contracting opportunities.
- Analyze market data, industry reports, and other information resources to identify trends and strategic opportunities.
- Develop briefing materials, market intelligence reports, and competitor profiles to support leadership decision-making.
- Collaborate with Company leadership to align research insights with strategic initiatives and program needs.
- Gather and update intelligence on customer needs and competitive positioning.
- Review progress of assigned projects, managing changes, milestones, issues, and risks.
- Escalate issues and propose resolutions to senior stakeholders.
- Create detailed project documentation, including executive summaries, project status reports, and issues lists.
- Collaborate with team members to support project needs and continuous improvement.
- Promote core values of teamwork, professionalism, effective communication, and a positive attitude.
- Maintain security and confidentiality of information in accordance with HIPAA laws and company policies.
- Demonstrate compliance with company policies through attendance, punctuality, and dress.
- Perform other tasks and duties as assigned.

- Computer literate with intermediate to advance knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, Internet, Adobe Acrobat Pro, Artificial Intelligence and/or similar products
- Ability to fly by plane or drive car to Atlanta office, customer site or other location as needed or required
Requirements and preferred requirements for the position include:
- Bachelor's Degree
- Active enrollment or completion of an advanced degree in health administration or public health.
- Proven track record of successful delivery of large-scale projects in a health care setting or academic program.
- Knowledge of project management methodologies based on industry standards and frameworks.
- Experience with defining projects and leveraging data to analyze trends and complete deliverables.
Preferred
- Healthcare, government and/or nonprofit experience
- Experience in programs related to state and federal government contracts
