Toshiba Global Commerce Solutions is seeking a Technical Project Manager IV within our Hardware Development Group.

Overseeing the planning, execution, and delivery of technical projects, with a specific focus on Hardware Development. Works closely with cross-functional teams, including product, development, operations, support, and quality assurance, to ensure successful project outcomes.

Provides budget analysis, labor planning, and coordination of activities between client and company personnel. Develops and manages key performance indicators to monitor project performance. Serves as mediator to internal issues and conflicting priorities for members of cross-functional teams focused on the delivery of new or existing solutions to clients.

RESPONSIBILITY
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define project requirements, scope, and objectives, ensuring alignment with business needs and strategic objectives.
  • Build and lead distributed teams, both technically and culturally diverse, fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, and budgets, closely monitoring progress, identifying risks, and proactively implementing mitigation strategies.
  • Utilize Agile methodologies such as Scrum, Kanban, and SaFe to facilitate project planning, execution, and delivery, ensuring efficient and effective team collaboration.
  • Proficiently utilize project management tools such as JIRA and Confluence to track project progress, manage tasks, and communicate updates to stakeholders.
  • Foster effective communication and collaboration among team members and stakeholders through regular meetings, status reports, and presentations.
  • Ensure effective resource allocation, managing dependencies and resolving conflicts to optimize team productivity and deliver high-quality outcomes.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives, identifying opportunities to enhance processes, tools, and methodologies to streamline project execution and delivery.
  • Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills, delivering clear and concise project updates, reports, and presentations to various stakeholders.
  • Effectively manage project risks, proactively identifying potential issues, and implementing appropriate risk management strategies to mitigate negative impacts.
  • Display exceptional time management and organizational skills, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Possess solid program management skills, overseeing multiple projects within a larger program and ensuring their successful alignment and coordination.

AREAS OF EXPERTISE & SPECIAL SKILLS
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 8-10 years experience as a Technical Project Manager, successfully leading and delivering Hardware and Software projects.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage distributed teams across technical and cultural boundaries, fostering collaboration and achieving project objectives.
  • Expertise in Agile methodologies, including Scrum, Kanban, and SaFe, with a track record of applying them effectively in project management.
  • Proficient in project management tools such as JIRA and Confluence, with the ability to leverage them to streamline project execution and enhance team productivity.
  • Excellent verbal and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong risk management and time management skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate risks while delivering projects within established timelines.
  • Experience in program management, overseeing multiple projects within a larger program and ensuring their successful alignment and coordination.
  • Proactive and results-oriented mindset, with a focus on continuous improvement and driving successful project outcomes.
  • Proven leadership of a large team or multiple smaller teams.
  • Retail Domain Knowledge (store operations and POS concepts) and experience with retail POS devices.
  • Up to 10% travel is required
