The Sr, IBMi Systems Engineer role is critical to the stability, performance, and scalability of our enterprise infrastructure, supporting high volume, mission-critical applications in a complex, IASP-enabled environment.
JOB FUNCTIONS * Administers and troubleshoots IBMi OS in an IASP-enabled environment * Manages IBM SAN infrastructure, preferably DS8K series, including provisioning, replication, and backup * Implements and supports PowerHA and Global Mirror for high availability and disaster recovery * Coordinates and executes role swaps and manages Virtual Tape Libraries * Monitors and optimizes system performance using tools like iDoctor * Supports third-party and bespoke applications on IBM i * Collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure infrastructure reliability and scalability * Maintains detailed documentation and participates in on-call support rotations | |
