Recruiter (High Volume) Overview:

Sun Country Airlines is seeking a Recruiter to manage the end-to-end recruitment process and ensure roles are filled quickly with top-quality candidates, while maintaining a positive candidate experience and upholding the employer brand.

Essential Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Manage Full-Cycle Recruitment: Oversee all phases of the talent acquisition process, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, selection, offer negotiation, and onboarding of candidates for high-volume positions.
  • Source Talent: Utilize various sourcing channels such as job boards, social media, employee referrals, career fairs, and partnerships with educational institutions to build and maintain a strong talent pipeline.
  • Screen Applications: Review large volumes of resumes and applications in a timely manner, identifying qualified candidates based on predefined criteria and job requirements.
  • Conduct Interviews: Facilitate high numbers of phone screens, virtual interviews, and in-person interviews to evaluate candidate skills, cultural fit, and alignment with organizational needs.
  • Coordinate Assessment Processes: Administer or coordinate skills tests, background checks, and pre-employment assessments to ensure candidate suitability.
  • Maintain Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS): Ensure all candidate information is accurately updated in the ATS, and leverage the system to monitor recruitment metrics and progress.
  • Build Relationships: Develop partnerships with hiring managers and department leaders to understand workforce needs, role requirements, and to facilitate effective hiring strategies.
  • Deliver a Positive Candidate Experience: Communicate promptly and professionally with all applicants, providing feedback and guidance throughout the hiring process, regardless of outcome.
  • Support Employer Branding Initiatives: Represent the organization at job fairs, community events, and online platforms to promote the employer brand and attract a diverse range of candidates.
  • Meet Hiring Targets: Achieve or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual recruitment goals as set by the organization's leadership.
  • Report on Recruitment Metrics: Compile and analyze data on time-to-fill, cost-per-hire, candidate quality, and other key recruitment metrics, providing regular reports to management.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify and recommend process enhancements to streamline high volume recruiting, improve efficiency, and elevate candidate and hiring manager satisfaction.
  • Investigations: May provide support for employee relations by facilitating and documenting investigative interviews during non-peak recruiting seasons, in collaboration with HR leadership.


Required Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
  • Exceptional organizational and time management abilities; proven track record of managing multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining confidentiality.


Preferred Qualifications



  • Experience recruiting in high-turnover industries such as airlines, hospitality, retail, call centers, logistics, or healthcare.
  • Knowledge of applicable employment laws, regulations, and best practices in recruitment.
  • Proficiency with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and HR technologies.
  • Strong sourcing and networking skills, including experience with social media recruitment and job boards.
  • Previous experience in airline or hospitality industries.


Compensation:

Pay range: $60,000 - $65,000 USD annually. This is the base compensation hiring range for this role.

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets.
