Marketing Coordinator

Pay Range $22.37-$28.54 (based on years of experience)

JOB SUMMARY:

The Marketing Coordinator is a highly motivated and detail-oriented professional who supports the execution of marketing initiatives across Goodwill's Retail Stores and Workforce Development programs. This role focuses on implementing tactical marketing activities, coordinating digital content, and supporting event logistics. Working under the guidance of the Marketing Manager, the Coordinator ensures that all efforts align with Goodwill's brand standards and contribute to broader strategic goals.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist in the execution of long-range marketing and brand strategies to enhance Goodwill's visibility and reputation.
  • Support the development and implementation of marketing initiatives for Retail Stores and Workforce Development programs.
  • Create, update, and manage marketing collateral including brochures, flyers, web content, and the annual report, ensuring alignment with brand standards.
  • Coordinate the design, production, and distribution of internal and external communications materials.
  • Maintain and update the corporate website in collaboration with external vendors, ensuring content accuracy and relevance.
  • Implement and monitor digital marketing strategies, including email campaigns and social media content across platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, and others.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of special events, including the Goodwill Thanksgiving Dinner & Resource Fair, career fairs, and retail store openings.
  • Provide marketing support for The Excel Center, Goodwill's adult high school in Baltimore City, including promotional campaigns and community outreach.
  • Maintain and manage marketing calendars, databases, and project timelines to ensure timely delivery of initiatives.
  • Coordinate with vendors and internal teams to support event logistics and promotional material needs.
  • Promote Goodwill's programs and services through targeted outreach and community engagement efforts.
  • Oversee the Goodwill Community Service program, ensuring effective communication and coordination.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support the Marketing and Communications team.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communication, business management, business administration or related discipline required.
  • 1-2 years preferred experience.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

Must possess a current valid and unrestricted driver's license and be fully insured according to Maryland law.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Knowledge of all traditional and digital marketing methods.
  • Familiarity with Adobe Design Suite (or other design software) and Microsoft Office products.
  • Effective communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to convey information effectively to diverse audiences.
  • Strong project management skills and attention to detail
  • Able to prioritize work-load, completing tasks with numerous interruptions and little direct supervision.
  • Ability to build strong professional relationships and able to interact with people from diverse backgrounds.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Regularly required to talk and hear. Frequently required to use hands and fingers to hold, handle and feel objects, knobs, keys and/or buttons.

Heavy

Lifting up to 100 pounds maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying objects weighing up to 50 pounds. May be required to regularly stand for extended periods of time, walk, reach with hands/arms with full range of motion, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, push or pull. Regularly required to talk and hear. Frequently required to use hands and fingers to hold, handle and feel objects, knobs, keys and/or buttons.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

Travel is defined as travel to all areas within Goodwill's territory (Cecil, Harford, Baltimore, Howard, and Anne Arundel Counties, Baltimore City and the entire Eastern Shore of Maryland). In some cases, long-distance travel, including overnights may be required but is typically planned in advance. In some cases, travel may be unplanned.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Limited
