Requisition ID req34165 Working Title Systems/Network Analyst 3 Position Grade 14 Position Summary We are looking for experienced Systems/Network Analyst 3 staff responsible for management, maintenance and monitoring server related hardware for multiple, systems, servers including virtual environments. Must have excellent oral and written communication skills to inform and coordinate with our New Mexico HPV Pap Registry leadership, IT team members and institutional partners. Responsibilities for this position also include coordination and implementation of the upgrading and updating of operating systems, applications, databases, backup/recovery and repository servers; application software installation and updating on multiple servers and multiple databases; managing server's internal and external users (creation, security, monitoring). The positions maintain networks and security in coordination with the Program Director and our IT staff. Strong programming skills are required. Efficient independent and collaborative troubleshooting, guidance, and training of staff on custom applications is expected as well as the desire to work on a team to complete small-, medium- and large-scale projects. The individual will work to create new methods to optimize, standardize and update systems design, documentation and communications all in support of the Center for HPV Prevention that houses the New Mexico HPV Pap Registry. The University of New Mexico Comprehensive Cancer Center is the Official Cancer Center of New Mexico and the only National Cancer Institute-designated Cancer Center in a 500-mile radius. Its 136 board-certified oncology specialty physicians include cancer surgeons in every specialty (abdominal, thoracic, bone and soft tissue, neurosurgery, genitourinary, gynecology, and head and neck cancers), adult and pediatric hematologists/medical oncologists, gynecologic oncologists, and radiation oncologists. They, along with more than 600 other cancer healthcare professionals (nurses, pharmacists, nutritionists, navigators, psychologists and social workers), provide treatment to 65% of New Mexico's cancer patients from all across the state. And they partner with community health systems statewide to provide cancer care closer to home. In 2024 they treated more than 15,000 patients in almost 105,000 ambulatory clinic visits in addition to in-patient hospitalizations at UNM Hospital. A total of 2,075 patients participated in cancer clinical trials to study new cancer treatments that include tests of novel cancer prevention strategies and cancer genome sequencing. The more than 123 cancer research scientists affiliated with the UNM Cancer Center were awarded $38.3 million in federal and private grants and contracts for cancer research projects. Since 2015, the physicians, scientists and staff have provided education and training experiences to more than 750 high school, undergraduate, graduate, and postdoctoral fellowship students in cancer research and cancer health care delivery. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree; at least 2 years of progressively responsible experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified. Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution and/or experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified may be interchangeable on a year-for-year basis. Preferred Qualifications * Linux/Unix: High level programming skills (shell scripting, python, JavaScript, PERL etc.) * Knowledge of RHEL Security and best practices, IPTABLES, NFTABLES, Security Hardening. * Linux systems administration, including skill with command line, Up2date, yum, Cron, Samba, Postfix, Rsync * Oracle: Skill with Oracle 19C and higher, PL/SQL, SQL, backup and recovery tools * Other: Knowledge of encryption clients and tools (e.g. Nutanix AHV, Nagios, Kaseya, Groundworks, Storage Area Networks (SAN) * Security+, CySA+Web: HTML/CSS.
