UC Riverside's Center for Early Childhood Education is recruiting for the Office Assistant. The full salary range for the Office Assistant is $29.35 - $42.06 per hour. However, the expected pay scale for this position is up to $30.00 per hour. We base salary offers on a variety of considerations, such as education, licensure and certifications, experience, and other business and organizational needs.

Under the direction of the Executive Director, the Office Assistant collaborates with the Enrollment Coordinator in processing enrollment and recruitment of new families. Provides the primary front-line customer service support for Center for Early Childhood Education (CECE). Responsible for greeting parents, children, visitors and other customers to the Center, in addition to answering general customer inquiries by email and phone. Act as as ambassador for children; often being the first contact a parent or community representative may have with the program. Responsible for communicating established CECE policies/procedures, rates, and the availability of student vacancies to affiliates of the University of California Riverside (UCR) and the general public. Responds to customer inquiries, complaints, and suggestions in a timely and professional manner both verbally and in writing that require research, are varied in nature, recognizes the need for deviation and consideration from standard practices and refers families to appropriate supervisors when necessary. Applies and explains complex policies and procedures regarding enrollment, funding terms and conditions, and health and safety regulations as they relate to families. Maintains calendars and filing systems, schedules meetings, and sorts mail. Responsible for assisting with the preparation and submittal of reports and meeting materials as well as general office duties and support to the Enrollment Administration, Site Supervisors and Teachers.

Applicants must have current work authorization when accepting a UCR staff position. Currently, we are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa for staff.
