Job Summary:

The Reliability Engineer will spearhead initiatives to improve the reliability and maintainability of our equipment, processes, and facilities. This role involves developing and refining preventive maintenance programs, providing technical support to the maintenance team, and enhancing maintenance efficiency to reduce costs. The Reliability Engineer will also address daily maintenance challenges, ensuring optimal operational productivity and prolonging the economic lifespan of plant assets. This position reports to Maintenance Manager.

Required Education/Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience analyzing plant operations or production data. Skilled in developing trend charts, dashboards, and performance metrics to support operational and strategic decisions. Familiar with tools like Excel, Power BI, or similar data visualization platforms.
  • Demonstrated expertise in using AutoCAD for mechanical or electrical system design. Able to modify existing drawings and create new schematics with precision. Experience includes drafting layouts, piping diagrams, and equipment details to industry standards.
  • Strong ability to read and interpret engineering documents including blueprints, electrical wiring diagrams, and fluid power drawings. Frequently utilized in troubleshooting systems, verifying installations, or collaborating with engineering teams.

Preferred Skills/Qualifications:

  • Associate or bachelor's degree in manufacturing, Engineering, or a related field from an accredited college preferred.
  • Manual Mill/Lathe Operation preferred.
  • Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines effectively.
  • Proven problem-solving abilities to address challenges and drive solutions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for clear and impactful interactions across all levels of the organization.
  • Understanding the impact of preventive maintenance expenditures on overall maintenance costs and the downtime of individual equipment.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Leads initiatives to ensure the reliability and maintainability of equipment, processes, utilities, and facilities.
  • Identifies opportunities to reduce and improve maintenance work, ensuring the efficient operation of plant processes and equipment while protecting and extending the economic lifespan of plant assets at the most practical cost.
  • Provides technical guidance to maintenance teams and management.
  • Operates in a staff capacity to support maintenance supervisors and planners/schedulers by handling engineering-related responsibilities.
  • Focuses on addressing the daily challenges faced by the maintenance organization through reliability engineering.
  • Develop, evaluate, improve, and document manufacturing processes to ensure efficiency and quality.
  • Implement new process techniques and procedures within the manufacturing environment.
  • Continuously analyze process flows to identify opportunities for quality improvement, cost reduction, and increased throughput.
  • Other duties as assigned
