SUMMARY: The Treasury Solutions Metrics Analyst is a key member of the Control Services division within Treasury Solutions (TS). Control Services is responsible for TS-wide Metrics & Reporting, Account Analysis, and Deposit Products. The TS Metrics Analyst will be responsible for 1) building, supporting & maintaining TS Services data sources, 2) the design, development, and automation of TS Business Intelligence, 3) ensuring data governance process & procedures as well as documentation are current & adhere to BankUnited's standard, and 4) Vendor Payment Program The successful candidate will become familiar with not only all aspects of the Control Services division, but also the various other divisions within TS, and a key contributor to TS' success. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties and special projects may be assigned. Data Source Responsibilities
- Design and implement efficient SQL queries to extract, clean, and transform data from relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server, Oracle).
- Automate data pipelines using AWS services such as: AWS Glue, Amazon S3, Athena, Step Function, Lambda, & Event Bridge.
- Build metric dashboards and reports using tools like Tableau or QuickSight (AWS).
- Ensure metrics are accurate, consistent, and trustworthy.
- Perform exploratory data analysis using SQL, Python, or R to identify patterns, outliers, and trends.
- Work closely with business stakeholders to deliver customized reports.
Metrics Responsibilities
- Designs and develops metrics for a variety of purposes, including financial performance, product utilization, client delivery performance, risk analysis, operational needs.
- Utilize industry best practices for streamlining the gathering of data, for making data accessible to stakeholders, and for visualizing data in a compelling way for the intended audience.
- Reporting may be ad-hoc or established on a recurring basis.
- Identify and implement methodologies for automating the generation and delivery of recurring reports.
Data Governance Responsibilities
- Monitor data quality metrics and identify areas for improvement.
- Ensure compliance with data governance policies and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations such as HIPAA, FERPA, etc.
- Maintain metadata repositories and data dictionaries.
- Document data lineage, definitions, and business rules.
- Oversee the lifecycle of data from creation to maintenance & archival.
- Identify opportunities for data consolidation and standardization.
Vendor Payment Program Responsibilities
- Maintain and provide enhancements to the current payment portal within ServiceNow.
- Collaborate with internal teams for client relations, data collection and report creation/distribution.
- Review and approve payment request within the payment portal and Coupa.
Other Responsibilities
- Performs special projects, as assigned by TS Metrics Team Lead.
- Engages with other Control Services team members to collaborate on process improvements and other initiatives as defined by management.
- Adheres to and complies with applicable, federal and state laws, regulations and guidance, including those related to anti-money laundering (i.e. Bank Secrecy Act, US PATRIOT Act, etc.).
- Adheres to Bank policies and procedures and completes required training.
- Identifies and reports suspicious activity.
EDUCATION 2 - 4 year college degree required in a relevant field such as: Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics Or Equivalent professional experience combined with relevant industry certifications such as: AWS Certified Data Analytics, Certified Analytics Professional (CAP), Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate, CompTIA Data+, or other IT/data-related certifications. EXPERIENCE
- A minimum of 3 years' experience in roles such as: Data Analyst, Business Intelligence Analyst, Metrics or Reporting Analyst required.
- Experience working with SQL for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL).
- Experience with Python, Tableau and AWS Cloud Services is preferred.

- Strong understanding of metadata management, data dictionaries, and data lineage.
- Proficiency in: SQL, Data pipeline tools & workflow orchestration.
- Knowledge of: Relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server, Oracle).
