POSITION SPECIFICS Penn State is seeking a Hazing Prevention Specialist (Student Wellness Specialist - senior professional and/or Student Wellness Specialist- advanced professional). This new position will serve as a university leader for prevention efforts related to hazing, substance use, and other risk reduction initiatives. The position will develop the strategic direction and priorities and implement evidence-informed prevention initiatives related to hazing, substance use, and risk reduction for a wide range of student populations, including, but not limited to, registered student organizations, recreation club and intramural sports, fraternities and sororities, athletes, the Blue Band as well as employees and volunteers who have direct ongoing interaction with students. The position will work within prevention models such as the Strategic Prevention Framework from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration or the Hazing Prevention Framework from StopHazing.org. As the role develops, the position will engage with leadership to provide additional recommendations and mobilize resources to create a safe and healthy environment for students. MINIMUM EDUCATION, WORK EXPERIENCE & REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS If filled as Student Wellness Specialist - Senior Professional, this position requires: Master's Degree 6+ years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience accepted Required Certifications: None If filled as Student Wellness Specialist - Advanced Professional, this position requires: Master's Degree 3+ years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience accepted Required Certifications: NoneAPPLICATION PROCESS Applications and all supporting materials must be submitted via Workday.
