POSITION SUMMARY:

The Human Resources Administrator at Sugarbush Resort is a central figure in supporting the daily HR operations and fostering employee engagement. Serving as the first point of contact for the HR office, this role provides guidance to employees, ensures accurate maintenance of the HRIS system, and facilitates a seamless onboarding experience for new employees. The position also will provide support to the Risk and Safety program at the resort. The position demands a tech-savvy professional adept at navigating various digital platforms, streamlining workflows, and driving administrative efficiency across HR functions. Additionally, this role supports the resort's Risk and Safety program by assisting in the management of employee workers' compensation claims and helping to ensure a safe and compliant work environment. This position is Full-time Year-round starting at $50,000/year.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Welcome and assist employees with questions related to employment at Sugarbush Resort in an efficient and courteous manner.
  • Provide accurate information about employment opportunities, employee policies, benefits/perks, events, and business operations for Sugarbush Resort.
  • Oversee internal employee communications (SharePoint, Teams, newsletters, Employee App, updates)
  • Assist in maintaining the HRIS employee database, processing employee transactions.
  • Oversee employee season pass/ID distribution.
  • Support new hire onboarding including paperwork, I-9 verification, system access, and orientation coordination.
  • Assist the Risk Manager with management and oversight of workers' compensation claims and follow-up with employees as needed.
  • Conduct background checks and employment verifications.
  • Assist in implementing new hire orientations and employee recognition programs.
  • Assist in coordinating internal training, staff events, and HR initiatives.
  • Oversee employee perks program.
  • Provide general HR support as needed across functions.
  • Additional duties as assigned including providing support for the other sectors of HR.


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources or business administration, or related field.
  • 1+ years of human resource experience or equivalent experience.
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • Organized and detail-oriented with a strong habit of follow-through.
  • Self-motivated, guest-oriented, and work well under pressure.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Positive, energetic attitude towards guests and peers.
  • Professional, friendly manner and appearance.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to learn new software quickly. Previous experience with Workday is beneficial.
  • Willingness to support seasonal and operational initiatives across the resort.
