About Us:
What we offer: * Salary: $15.00 * PTO is offered for part-time employees. Job Functions: The Spiritual Care Program Assistant provides key administrative and programmatic support to the Spiritual Care Department. This role helps create a consistent, welcoming, and organized experience for residents, staff, and community members by supporting the logistics of worship gatherings, Bible studies, spiritual groups, and children's programming. Requirements
Education and Experience: High school degree. Experience working with children, youth, and adults preferred. Extensive exposure to children's programs highly desirable. Heart for ministry and comfort working with a broad spectrum of clients and volunteers including families experiencing homelessness required. Bilingual (Spanish - English) is a plus. Skills Requirements: Alignment with the mission and inclusive values of Metropolitan Ministries. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work well with children, families, and diverse populations. Proficiency in Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, and basic design platforms like Canva. Background or interest in ministry, nonprofit work, or community programming is a plus. Ability to maintain confidentiality and operate with a trauma-informed, team-centered approach. Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 40 pounds. Hearing and speaking ability, which allows for effective oral communication of information. Physical, emotional and spiritual stamina to handle job-related issues and stress. Other: Must demonstrate legal authorization to work in the United States. Must pass required background pre-employment screening. Must be able to communicate effectively in English.
