Overview At Cotiviti, the Director of Data Architecture and Management - AI will lead the Data Architecture and the Product teams within the AI team. This individual will be responsible for leading and establishing process, engineering patterns, product vision, standards and governance around all data assets within the AI Data platform. Responsibilities * Own the data architecture and product management approach for all the data assets within the AI data platform * Establish and define Data Engg Operational KPIs and process. Work with the teams to implement the KPIs * Identify existing capabilities that can be improved in the new AI data platform and lead / implement PoCs * Own and deliver architectural recommendation process for the Data Engineering platform * Standardize reusability and interoperability of data assets within AI/ML * Establish and incorporate a process of thinking of data as an asset and a platform to power data products * Establish data governance standards and implement on the Databricks unity catalog * Establish best practice guidelines and patterns for data engineering pipelines within a Databricks environment * Lead the assessment of the data assets towards building reusable data assets that can be powered as data products * Collaborate and represent the Data Engineering team with cross functional teams like business teams, info sec, security etc * Collaborate and define optimal handoffs between Data engineering and AI teams * Hire, develop, coach, lead and retain top-tier talent, with a focus on building and improving a team and culture that is able to assist in employing best in class practices to support and drive high levels of internal and external customer satisfaction. * Complete all responsibilities as outlined in the annual performance review and/or goal setting. * Complete all special projects and other duties as assigned. * Must be able to perform duties with or without reasonable accommodation. Qualifications * Bachelors in Computer science or equivalent with 15+ years of progressive experience in information technology with particular focus on cloud based data platforms * 8-12+ years of progressive experience in data architecture, data engineering, or a similar data-focused role, with at least 3-5 years in a lead or architect / product management position. * 8+ years of experience in Cloud data platforms like AWS, Databricks, Delta lake and orchestration tools like Airflow, Databricks workflows etc * Data modeling skills aligning with healthcare industry (claims, payments etc) * Experience implementing governance with DB Databricks unity catalog, other governance solutions and DevOps practices * 8+ years of working knowledge of big data technologies (Spark, S3, Kafka, Ray, Hadoop, etc.) * 8+ years of working knowledge of RDBMS (Oracle, MS SQL, Vertica, etc.) and experience using SQL, PL/SQL or other data integration/ETL tools. * Experience leading cross functional data teams and matrixed collaboration * Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite applications PowerPoint, Word, Excel and Outlook. * Flexible work schedule. * Experience with project management tools like JIRA. * Strong analytical skills * Excellent verbal, listening and written communication skills. Working Conditions and Physical Requirements: * Remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods. * Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers. * No adverse environmental conditions expected. * Must be able to provide a dedicated, secure work area. * Must be able to provide high-speed internet access / connectivity and office setup and maintenance Pay Transparency: Base compensation ranges from $180,000.00 to $220,000.00. Specific offers are determined by various factors, such as experience, education, skills, certifications, and other business needs. This role is eligible for discretionary bonus consideration.
