Are you ready to spark technical growth and shape the future of industrial automation? We're looking for a dynamic Technical Instructor to lead hands-on training that builds both skill and confidence across our Automation and Operational Technology (OT) teams. From classroom instruction to lab-based simulations and real-world applications, you'll design and deliver impactful learning experiences that prepare our teams for success-on the job and beyond. You'll also play a key role in developing our next generation of talent through our Registered Apprenticeship programs for Applications Programmers and OT Technicians. Responsibilities:



  • * Develop and deliver technical training programs across industrial automation, controls, OT, and networked systems.
    * Create engaging instructional content, including course outlines, lab activities, and training aids.
    * Deliver training through various methods-classroom, hands-on labs, e-learning, and real-world scenarios.
    * Support apprenticeship and certification programs, ensuring content aligns with evolving industry and customer needs.
    * Evaluate training effectiveness and continuously improve curriculum and delivery methods.
    * Maintain up-to-date knowledge of vendor certifications and ensure compliance with accreditation standards.
    * Identify new training opportunities and support ongoing learning through conferences, workshops, and industry engagement.


Knowledge and Expertise for this Role



  • * Associate's degree (A. A.) from two-year college with relative background in Industrial Automation, Operational Technology, or Instrumentation is highly preferred
    * 3-5 years' field experience in Industrial Automation and/or Operational Technology along with experience in training/educating adults and/or employee development is highly preferred
    * This position will require excellent public speaking ability and an ease in moderating small and large groups.
    * This position requires excellent personal leadership and communication skills, commitment to employee and self-development, and operational knowledge of databases and spreadsheets.

Individuals must be located in Sioux Falls, SD - Sioux Center, IA - Omaha, NE

Travel: The amount of travel will vary according to business requirements (may be up to 20%).
