Regular Work Schedule: Fri/Sat/Sun (12p-8:30p) plus one weekday shift

  • Training Schedule: candidates must be available Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, until training period is complete

What you will do

  • Workflow Optimization & Radiologist Support:
    • o Facilitate efficient radiologist workflow to enhance productivity.
    • o Provide direct support to radiologists assigned to reading rooms, assisting with the interpretation of studies.
    • o Monitor diagnostic worklists and distribute urgent exams to Radiologists for interpretation.
    • o Support on-call Radiologists with system troubleshooting, problem-solving, and workflow performance improvements.
    • o With limited supervision, perform ancillary tasks that allow Radiologists to focus on their primary clinical functions.
  • Case & Communication Management:
    • o Manage a large volume of incoming emails requesting STAT reads, records requests, image transfers to and from affiliate and outside hospitals/institutions, and notify the appropriate Radiologists.
    • o Expedite physician-to-physician communication to enhance patient safety and flow by assisting Radiologists in managing patient information and priorities.
    • o Utilize various communication tools and technology systems to minimize delays and increase efficiency.
    • o Manage cases from affiliate sites, domestic and international teleradiology locations, and outside hospitals.
  • Health Information Management & Compliance:
    • o Act as the Health Information Management (HIM) liaison for releasing patient imaging to patients and families.
  • Radiology Systems & Workflow Management:
    • o Utilize and maintain digital imaging systems, including Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS), Ambra, Nuance Powershare, Radiology Information System (RIS), LifeImage, PICOM, Medicom, and Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems: Epic, Epic Secure Chat, Epic ROI In Basket.
    • o Utilize Qgenda and also responsible to communicate errors or updates to Qgenda Schedule Coordinator.
  • Other Duties:
    • o Maintain clean and clutter-free work environment in all Radiology Reading Rooms
    • o Perform additional tasks as assigned to meet departmental needs.

Education

  • High School Diploma / GED Required
  • Associate's Degree Preferred

Experience

  • At least one (1) year Hospital, Medical Office, or Related Setting Required
  • At least one (1) year Radiology Department or Imaging Facility Preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology and radiology systems. (Required proficiency)
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and multitasking skills. (Required proficiency)
  • Proficiency in IT systems, with the ability to maintain data accuracy and compliance. (Required proficiency)
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and task prioritization. (Required proficiency)
  • Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive information professionally. (Required proficiency)

Salary ranges are shown for full-time jobs. If you're working part-time, your pay will be adjusted accordingly.
