Network Engineer

The Opportunity:

A well-designed network is critical to move data and enable the DoD to achieve their missions, but how can an organization make sure their network will fit their current and evolving needs? Crafting the right network with the right equipment and software requires a combination of technical skill and careful planning. That's why we need you, a network engineer who knows how to develop the exact network the Navy needs.

As a Network Engineer on our team, you'll use your skills in network design, configuration management, switch and gateway configurations, and virtual routing to help support the nation's defense and respond to evolving adversaries. You'll work on Infrastructure as Code, analyze current network infrastructure, and increase security, reliability, and availability for mission-critical network systems.

You'll apply your knowledge in routing and switching, network design and architecture, and IP engineering as you join our team of problem-solvers to help the Navy evolve and deploy new capabilities.

Your knowledge of network protocols, emerging technology, and configurations will come in handy as you help optimize client operations and modernization. Using your experience in Cisco hardware, virtual routing and forwarding, vSphere, and vCenter, you'll serve as a trusted advisor to clients on mission-critical projects. Using your technical curiosity and knowledge of industry standards, you'll make an impact on national security missions.

You Have:

• Experience administrating Cisco ACI

• Experience updating network design to improve network routing

• Knowledge of vSphere and vMware

• Ability to troubleshoot various systems on the network such as Virtual Machines (VMs), routers, gateways, and Endpoint Groups (EPGs)

• Secret clearance

• HS diploma or GED

Nice If You Have:

• Experience Configuring APICs with Infrastructure as Code

• Experience administering systems in Red Hat Enterprise Linux

• Knowledge of CI/CD tools and processes

• Networking Certification such as CCNA Certification

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.
