OverviewMicrosoft has an exciting opportunity for a Software Engineer II in the Cloud+AI Azure Data team. As part of a core product engineering group, you will develop features, improvements, enhancements, and bugfixes within Azure Data products which are used by Microsoft's worldwide customer base. As a member of the Azure Data team, you will also be responsible for deploying and operating Azure services within an air-gapped environment. In this role, Software Engineer II, you will have the opportunity to work with engineers who enable a broad set of Azure services to be consumed by internal and external customers in highly secured and regulated industries. ResponsibilitiesDesign and build scalable, secure, and reliable solutions for Azure Data services, ensuring high quality and modularity.Improve test coverage, implement integration tests, and address issues to enhance service reliability and maintainability.Automate production and deployment processes, running code in non-production environments to ensure functionality.Uphold compliance with security, privacy, safety, and accessibility standards, and demonstrate product compliance.Integrate telemetry and data analytics to monitor system health, drive product refinement, and inform engineering decisions.Maintain live service operations, respond promptly to incidents, and implement solutions to complex issues as they arise.Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement, sharing postmortem insights with the team.Embody our culture and values.
