Senior Vice President, Data Architect

Pershing, LLC seeks a Senior Vice President, Data Architect for its Lake Mary, FL location.

DUTIES: Responsible for the delivery of high-quality data architectural solutions, including enterprise and line of business architectures, while ensuring compliance with company policies. Initiate and drive processes that unleash the value of the company's data assets to gain competitive advantage in the marketplace. Strategize and contribute to enterprise level technological initiatives on data governance, and usage. Define and implement data architecture for corporate data governance and database design principles. Ensure data management business solution deliveries. Adhere to the established data architecture methodologies and standards, and in compliance with company policy. Identify organization-wide initiatives and make recommendations for the use of data warehouse technology. Liaise with senior management regarding resource requirements necessary to promote warehousing goals. Coordinate warehousing activities of the organization to assure the strategic goals of the organization are met, and to assure integration of corporate data constructs (logical and physical database designs). Work toward architectures enterprise data solutions. Perform enterprise planning and designing solutions for emerging business and complex technology environments, including data warehousing. Identify and recommend ways to drive more value out of the company's data. Design stable and flexible high performance database solutions, maximizing data reuse and avoiding data redundancy, according to the current and anticipated business rules, following SDLC. Work with other stakeholders in optimizing database solutions. Remote work may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite.

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelors degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Applied Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, and ten (10) years of experience in the job offered or in a related IT occupation in the financial services industry. Ten (10) years of experience must include: Performing enterprise planning and designing solutions for emerging business and complex technology environments; Developing logical and physical data models with appropriate data dictionaries that cater to the specific business and functional requirements of applications using Data Modelling Tool Erwin; Building Big Data architectures and solutions in Teradata, and handling Data Lake Technologies using Hadoop and Hive; Designing stable and flexible high performance database solutions on data lakes for Structured and Semi-structured data formats; and Utilizing development tools including Service Now, Jira, and GIT, as well as Agile and Waterfall methodologies for continuous code deployment.
