OverviewMicrosoft's Corporate, External and Legal Affairs (CELA) organization seeks an experienced attorney to join the legal team supporting Marketing as Corporate Counsel. The successful candidate for this role will serve as a trusted legal advisor and partner to Microsoft's commercial product marketing team, thriving in a fast-paced environment where agility, collaboration and sound judgment are essential to drive adoption of cutting-edge AI technology. In this role, you will partner with product marketing and other CELA colleagues to support the overall market strategy for the growing commercial product portfolio that includes Microsoft 365, Copilot, and Teams. You will serve as the front-line legal support to our marketing clients, working closely with them as they create the right messaging and narratives to tell the unique stories of the value and impact of our products. You will also partner with colleagues in our broader marketing and adjacent legal groups, as your work will span a variety of legal issues, including advertising, copyright, trademark, competition, contract, privacy, and other areas. ResponsibilitiesYou will contribute to legal and related business matters, as well as identify, anticipate, and propose solutions to legal risks in the client's business, technology, and public policy.You will also collaborate with outside counsel to address and resolve project-specific issues.Draft and negotiate transactional documents, as well as monitor business activity to ensure legal compliance policies are followed and also help clients understand compliance issues, identify risks and offer solutions along the way.Identify opportunities and tools, as well as provide continuous feedback to improve process efficiencies within your role aand also propose efficiencies to budget management, and model compliance, privacy, and data security.Collaborate within the Legal and Corporate Affairs work group to raise issues and support ideas. |
