The Corporate Business Office is seeking a dynamic and talented Revenue Cycle Manager of Continuous Improvement.

The Revenue Cycle Manager of Continuous Improvement is responsible for championing financial and patient experience-related success through the strategic planning and implementation of revenue cycle improvement projects in areas like automation, analytics and education. This position will work to identify opportunities for improvement in the revenue cycle and determine which areas to prioritize based on the organization's current needs and future goals. In doing so, the Manager will collaborate with a variety of internal and external stakeholders, including other revenue cycle teams, clinical leaders, IT, and vendors. The Revenue Cycle Manager of Continuous Improvement will manage, champion, and coordinate revenue cycle initiatives to optimize workflows, determine the feasibility and value of implementing new tools and technology, perform market research to maintain market competitiveness, and articulate business cases for implementing changes. The Manager will oversee a team working directly with the Facilities and centralized business offices to maximize revenue capture and cash collections.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Provides revenue cycle governance and expertise while working collaboratively with facilities, central business offices, and others to establish standards and processes for efficient patient flow, maximum revenue capture and cash collections, and continuous improvement
  • Manages a team of staff providing training, education, governance, and support to facilities and centralized functions performing front, middle, and back-end revenue cycle operations focused on improving KPIs and financial metrics
  • Measures and monitors vendors providing outsourced services through regular meetings, KPIs, service reviews, and benchmarking
  • Leads multiple projects to increase revenue capture and cash collections through process automation and optimization, advanced analytics, and new technology implementation
  • Reviews patient accounting data to reduce accounts receivable through cash collections efforts, strategic workflow prioritization, and denials management

Qualifications

Experience & Knowledge:

  • Bachelor's Degree plus 8-10 years of related experience required. A qualified candidate should have strong professional written and verbal communication skills, proficiencies in Microsoft Office tools (e.g., Word, Excel, etc.), and the ability to meet deadlines and multitask.
  • A Revenue Cycle Manager must possess extensive knowledge of both healthcare revenue systems and operations, including specific and extensive experience with revenue cycle operations in Patient Access, Charge Capture, and Patient Financial Services.
  • The Manager should demonstrate knowledge of an experience with improving operations through dedicated frameworks, cross-functional communication and collaboration, and excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • The Manager should have the ability to analyze and use large data to drive and measure outcomes, create efficient and effective solutions to complex business issues, and remain knowledgeable of industry regulations and trends. Specific experience improving revenue capture, cash collections, billing and collections operations is highly desired. Certification or experience with lean or six sigma process improvement methodologies is preferred.
