Cleveland-Cliffs is seeking a Compensation Analyst at our Corporate Headquarters in Cleveland. The Compensation Analyst performs support activities to administer compensation policies and programs. Reviews proposed salary adjustments for conformance to established guidelines, policies, and practices. Ensures compensation data accuracy within Workday. Participate in compensation surveys to collect and analyze salary information to help determine the company's competitive position.

Summary of Responsibilities:

  • Analyzes and administers compensation programs, including base pay, incentive pay, and executive compensation programs.

  • Formulates compensation recommendations, FLSA exemptions, job revisions, and organizational structures.

  • Participates in compensation surveys, including job matching, data submission, and independent analysis of benchmarking data to support the compensation strategy.

  • Supports the benchmarking system and leverages system tools, functionality, reporting, and community to deliver market insights to the benchmarking process.

  • Evaluates jobs against survey data and other market intelligence to determine competitive compensation ranges for positions and market trends through data analysis.

  • Provide exceptional customer service to Human Resources and leadership through responsive communications, high-quality analysis and clear guidance.

  • Provides analytical support and data analysis on projects and human resource metrics.

  • Performs frequent audits on all compensation elements to ensure accuracy.

  • Supports the yearly company-wide compensation review process.

  • Facilitate collaboration with the Compensation and Human Resources teams.

  • Analyze system enhancements, ensuring alignment with the company's payroll and compensation processes.

  • Validates file feeds to external systems or vendors to confirm accuracy.

  • Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Help find solutions to difficult or complex issues and act.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field.

  • Willing to work and contribute in a team environment.

  • High level of attention to detail and organizational skills.

  • Strong verbal and written communication.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 0 to 2 years of experience in Human Resources, Compensation, Analytics or related.

  • Compensation-related experience preferred.

  • Workday experience preferred.

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

  • Proficiency in the entire Microsoft Office suite.
