Staff Client Platform Engineer - Mac

In the Staff Client Platform - Mac position, you'll lead the design, configuration, and management of Direct Supply's Mac platform to ensure secure, scalable, and efficient endpoint performance. You'll collaborate with infrastructure, security, and support teams to streamline Mac device deployment, automate workflows, and improve the user experience. This role is critical to supporting a growing Mac footprint and delivering consistent, high-quality outcomes across the enterprise.

What You'll Do and Impact:

• Lead efforts to enhance the Mac user experience across hardware, software, and support touchpoints

• Design, implement, and manage the full lifecycle of Mac endpoints, prioritizing performance, usability, and security at scale

• Own and evolve Mac management strategy using tools such as Jamf, Microsoft Intune, and Entra ID

• Develop and maintain configuration baselines, onboarding workflows, and compliance policies tailored for Mac environments

• Collaborate with Security and Network teams to align Mac endpoints with Zero Trust architecture, conditional access, and modern authentication frameworks

• Leverage performance telemetry and user feedback to drive continuous improvement and lead pilot initiatives

• Build and maintain automation scripts (e.g., shell, Python, Swift, PowerShell) to improve scale, consistency, and efficiency

• Partner with Windows and SaaS platform teams to ensure a consistent cross-platform user experience

• Stay informed on emerging trends in Mac management, enterprise security, and AI-powered tooling

• Ensure Mac compatibility across enterprise applications and environments

• Identify and implement AI and automation opportunities to reduce support friction and streamline endpoint management

• Act as a technical liaison to business teams, introducing new capabilities and driving adoption of enterprise platform innovations

Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field preferred; equivalent professional experience considered.

• 7+ years of experience managing Mac devices in enterprise environments

• Advanced hands-on experience with Jamf Pro and Intune for macOS, including policy creation, profile configuration, and lifecycle workflows

• Proficient in scripting (e.g., shell, Python, Swift) to automate tasks and improve support operations

• Experience with Entra ID (Azure AD), conditional access, and device compliance frameworks

• Familiarity with AI/ML-based endpoint tools, telemetry, and automation platforms

• Strong knowledge of macOS architecture and enterprise features (FileVault, Gatekeeper, SIP, DEP, MDM)

• Understanding of Zero Trust security models, BYOD environments, and cloud-native device management
