Role Description & Responsibilities

Our Dassault Systemes SIMULIA Fluids is excited to announce we have a hybrid internship opportunity available in our Waltham, MA office!

The Software Development and Test Engineer (Intern) will support our core geometry preparation software development, with responsibility for the quality of our software with a focus on workflow automation. You will interact with the Development, Application Management and QA teams as a key contributor to product development and quality assurance.

  • Work on developing and testing state-of-the-art geometry preparation techniques to build meshes for Fluid Dynamics simulation.

  • Collaborate with developers and QA engineers to develop, execute and analyze automated test suites.

You will be part of a team that plays a crucial role in building discrete simulation ready geometry for Fluid Dynamics simulation using PowerFLOW. We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team:

  • Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address challenges related to 3D geometry processing and user interaction.
  • Communication Skills: Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members, gather requirements from stakeholders, and communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Creativity: Ability to think creatively and explore innovative approaches.
  • Self-Motivation and Learning Agility: Proactive attitude towards learning new technologies and methodologies, as well as the ability to work independently and adapt to evolving project requirement
Qualifications
  • Proficiency in programming languages C++ and Python
  • Experience with 3D Geometry (Continuous and/or Discrete) is essential
  • Experience with parallel programming is a big plus
  • Comfortable in a UNIX/Linux and Windows environment
  • Good English written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be a self-arter who works well independently on assigned tasks and products
  • Running and analyzing the regression suite on various supported platforms
  • Evaluate product functionality and create Test PlansManual GUI testing and converting them into automated tests
  • Execute Test Plans and incorporate into the regression suits
  • Analyze other areas of low coverage and enhance the suite to cover them
  • Document all tests and procedures

Compensation for the role will be commensurate with experience. The total expected compensation range will be between $23 - $36 per hour.
