Are you passionate about competitive gaming and ready to help the next generation of esports athletes thrive? We're looking for an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Esports Assistant Coach to join our growing program and make an immediate impact. In this role, you'll help shape strategy, build team chemistry, and mentor student-athletes as they pursue excellence both in-game and in the classroom. The Esports Assistant Coach plays a vital role in the growth and success of the team by assisting with the planning and execution of practices and scrimmages that focus on individual skill development and team coordination. This position is responsible for analyzing gameplay, conducting VOD reviews, and providing strategic feedback to reinforce learning objectives and elevate team performance. One-on-one coaching is a key component of the role, helping players strengthen their mechanical abilities, mental resilience, and communication skills. The Assistant Coach supports match and tournament preparation through scouting, strategy development, and ensuring players are mentally ready to compete. When applicable, they may provide in-game leadership and facilitate pre- and post-match analysis. The role also includes monitoring opponents to formulate counterstrategies, fostering an inclusive and growth-oriented team environment, and modeling professionalism and sportsmanship. Additional responsibilities include managing team dynamics, ensuring compliance with game and league regulations, attending coaching meetings, handling logistical tasks, and assisting with recruiting by evaluating prospective players and their skills..


A high school diploma is required for this position, along with a deep understanding of the game at a competitive level, whether through collegiate, semi-professional, or professional experience. Prior experience coaching or competing at a high level is highly desirable and will be considered a strong asset in supporting the development and success of the esports program.
