Summary of Job Description:

The Network Engineer II is responsible for supporting and maintaining the infrastructure of all Panda restaurant level networks, including WAN, LAN, WIFI, and VPN, as well as implementation of new networked initiatives. This includes problem solving, coordinating, and troubleshooting via remote access or over-the-phone with Operations and third-party vendors to ensure uptime and functionality according to internal SLA. Under the direction of the Senior Network Engineer II and Manager, Network Infrastructure, this position aids in reconfiguration of store network devices to conform to new architecture designs and standards.This includes but is not limited to changes in IP addressing, configurations, and physical connectivity via remote access and over-the-phone coordination with Operations.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provides day-to-day support of restaurant level network inquiries and incidents related to internet services, VPN, routing, firewall, and WIFI, including some on-call work as needed. -
  • Oversees, coordinates, and serves as an escalation to a third-party vendor that supports network related issues, including SLA enforcement. Resolves issues via remote access or over-the-phone with Operations and third-party vendors to ensure uptime and functionality according to internal SLA.
  • Performs firewall (Fortinet) maintenance and management in accordance with PCI standards.
  • Coordinates and oversees implementation of the infrastructure and IT equipment installation within the New Store Opening process, including working with various PRG departments and vendors.
  • Ensures PCI enforcement and remediation of vulnerabilities on restaurant level networking equipment
  • Communicates and coordinates with various vendors, Operations, facilities, and property management based on project/task needs.
  • Responsible for administrative data maintenance, updating of database with project and network information.
  • Under the direction of the Senior Network Engineer II and Manager, Network Infrastructure, aids in reconfiguration of store network devices to conform to new architecture designs and standards.
  • Assists the Senior Network Engineer II in implementing new network standards and providing ongoing support and/or implementation of design changes.

Your background & experience:

  • Associate's degree in computer technology-related field required; Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Network Professional Certification (e.g. FCP, CCNA) strongly preferred
  • Minimum three years of relevant experience; experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices and tools like Ansible, Terraform, or Python-based automation preferred
  • Successful completion of initial and periodically required training
  • Obtaining a valid Food Handler's Card within 30 days of employment is a requirement of this position.

Pay Range: P2H: $86,000 - $121,000/ Annual

* Within the range, individual pay is determined using various factors, including work location and experience.
