Job Summary: |
The Department of Pathology at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus is seeking a full-time Finance and Accounting Professional. This position will be responsible for providing accounting and financial support to the Department of Pathology through accounts payable, accounts receivable, procurement, travel, and financial reporting activities. Position will be responsible for exercising discretion, analytical skill, and personal accountability and responsibility Key Responsibilities: Finance and Accounting (40%):
Manage clinical accounts payable for the department Devise methods for efficient processing, reviewing, and payment of vendor invoices and recommend improvements as needed Develop and maintain systems for tracking vendor invoice processing, purchasing requests, and faculty reimbursement requests Develop and maintain systems for tracking accounting allocations of vendor invoices Assist with day-to-day financial and accounting activities pertaining to purchasing, invoicing, accounting, deposits, and reimbursements Manage and maintain electronic filing systems of financial records Reconcile purchase card transactions for various faculty and senior administrative staff, as needed Develop and prepare accounting and financial reports as requested
Purchasing and Travel (40%)
Utilize CU Marketplace to order supplies for central administration Assist faculty with purchasing requests via the various purchasing methods available, in order maximize efficiency Create requisitions, purchase orders, payment vouchers, and assist with vendor/supplier setup requests in Marketplace and Corcentric Process and manage expense reimbursement submissions for faculty in accordance with department and University guidelines and timelines Assist with tracking of faculty spending of academic enrichment funds Assist faculty with speedtype allocations and travel arrangements in Concur
Other (20%)
Perform space and capital equipment inventory and/or audits Serve as a backup for other finance/accounting and business professional staff in the department, cross-training to provide support during peak times or absences Other ad-hoc duties and special assignments as needed

Qualifications: |
Minimum Qualifications:
A bachelor's degree in business administration, business, finance, accounting, or a directly related field from an accredited institution 1 year of professional level experience with duties in accounts payable, procurement, vendor relations, and monitoring expense accounts/reimbursements.
Substitution: A combination of education and related technical/paraprofessional experience may be substituted for the bachelor's degree on a year for year basis. Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire. Preferred Qualifications:

Anticipated Pay Range: |
The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as HIRING RANGE: $51,748 - $56,470 The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position may be eligible for overtime compensation, depending on the level. Your total compensation goes beyond the number on your paycheck.
