We are part of Seagate's Equipment Development Engineering organization. We develop state of the art equipment to enable the development and testing of cutting-edge recording technologies. Our group has been designing equipment used in the development assembly and testing of hard disc drive components for over 25 years. We are technology leaders in nano motion, precision measurement solutions, and automation system design and control. About the role - you will:
Seagate is looking for a Software Engineering Summer Intern within our Equipment Development Organization in our design center in Shakopee, MN. This position will support the design, development, and qualification of software used to test recording heads and media. You will work with other software engineers in our department to develop and maintain automated test systems, enhance data analysis tools, and contribute to software solutions that improve the performance and reliability of our testing processes. This role offers hands-on experience with real-world engineering challenges and the opportunity to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams including mechanical, electrical, and firmware engineers. Our Shakopee campus is located 25 minutes southwest of Minneapolis in a setting with a rural vibe - it overlooks a horse racing track and stables, yet it has great entertainment venues close by as well.
