Position Summary:


The primary function of Inventory Control is to manage inventory through database and maintain levels required daily to meet distribution demands.



Duties & Responsibilities:



  • Count inventory in warehouse and yard on scheduled basis
  • Research variances and make appropriate adjustments to inventory
  • Check/count material on vendor delivery trucks; reconcile vendor truck receipts with Kamco's
  • Enter data for quantities of parts issued and transferred between locations, inventory and cycle count adjustments, into computer database.
  • Troubleshoot quantity discrepancies with manufacturing and inspection personnel.
  • Record and monitor all items with shelf-life daily and notify appropriate personnel when material has expired.
  • Prepare monthly reports for cycle count and pick-lists count for monthly highlights.
  • Prepare and participate in yearly physical inventory.
  • Carry out other such duties as may be assigned or requested



Basic Qualifications:



  • High School diploma or GED
  • 1 to 3 years of related work experience preferred
  • Demonstrated knowledge of building products

  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships at every level of the organization; invest in building relationships with the Field Operations and Field Support Center team members.

  • Communicate professionally, both verbally and in writing to coworkers and customers



Physical Requirements:



  • Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment and warehouse.
  • Sitting 5%, walking 70%, standing 10%, pushing/pulling 10%, climbing 5%
  • Must be able to communicate with team and management and be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.



Required Cognitive Skills:



  • Must be able to problem solve and prioritize tasks.
  • Must be able to manage stress depending on deadlines and ongoing projects.
  • Must be able to multitask.
  • Must be able to receive and analyze information.
  • Must be able to quickly communicate solutions if problems occur.
  • Must be able to demonstrate a high degree of sound judgement and initiative.
