Summary:

The Rehabilitation Services Department at the Center for Rehabilitation Care is seeking a Full-Time Occupational Therapist I to join our Outpatient Neurologic Rehabilitation team. This position involves delivering comprehensive, evidence-based occupational therapy services across a wide range of neurologic diagnoses, including long COVID, stroke, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, Parkinson's disease, muscular dystrophy, Ehlers-Danlos syndrome, multiple sclerosis, and more.

Ideal candidates will bring strong time management, clinical reasoning, and communication skills. The ideal candidate would have one (1) year of occupational therapy experience, with six (6) months being outpatient neurologic rehabilitation.

Experience in interdisciplinary clinics and with complex diagnoses is highly preferred.

Responsibilities:

  1. Select and perform appropriate Occupational Therapy (OT) evaluation procedures to identify and assess functional impairments. Set treatment goals and develop individualized intervention plans. Re-evaluate and adjust treatment plans in response to patients' progress and discharge planning.
  2. Manage resources effectively to implement treatment plans and accomplish patient-centered goals.
  3. Complete timely and accurate documentation in the medical record and department systems to support care delivery, billing, and compliance.
  4. Organize and maintain an efficient caseload, balancing productivity and high-quality care.
  5. Provide clinical supervision, mentorship, and instruction for OT students or new staff, including planning caseloads, offering feedback, and evaluating performance.
  6. Contribute to program development and clinical improvement efforts, staying informed on emerging practices and regulations. Maintain clear and proactive communication with supervisors, physicians, and interdisciplinary team members.
