Chief Cultural & Executive Officer (CCEO): African Indigenous Midwifery Museum About Us The Historic Jamaa Birth Village Cultural Heritage Center is the nation's first cultural hub dedicated to African Indigenous midwifery, history, and healing practices. Home to the African Indigenous Midwifery Museum (AIMM), the African Indigenous Midwifery Library & Research Institute (AIM LRI), and Okunsola's School of Traditional Midwifery, our Center represents a decade-long evolution from Missouri's first Black-led midwifery clinic to a global cultural and educational institution. We are seeking a visionary Chief Cultural & Executive Officer (CCEO) to lead us into this new era, someone who can safeguard our collections, expand our mission, and ensure that Jamaa continues to thrive as both a local sanctuary and global cultural leader. Position Overview The CCEO serves as the highest-ranking staff leader of the Cultural Heritage Center. Reporting to the Board of Directors, the CCEO is responsible for: Strategic Leadership: Expanding our mission, developing national and global partnerships, and positioning the Center as a premier cultural, educational, and maternal health heritage institution. Key Responsibilities Preserve, protect, and expand AIMM & AIM LRI collections, exhibitions, and archives. Qualifications (Required) 7+ years of progressive leadership experience in the cultural heritage, museum, or archival sector.
